Rare Carat - A Game Changer in the Diamond Space

Purchasing an engagement is a huge decision. Hopefully, it is something you have to do only once. Deciding how and where to purchase it is an important choice as well.

Consider Rare Carat

My wife, Morgan, and I got engaged in December 2023 and I used Rare Carat to purchase the loose diamond and ring setting. It was an eye opening process learning about intricacies diamonds have, but they had tons of invaluable education. They have lab diamond and natural diamonds that have only been sourced from Conflict Free Zones.

In addition to the typical 4 C's (Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat) they tell you absolutely everything about a diamond from the Girdle Percentage, Depth, and Crown Angle to if there's any Fluorescence Color or Laser Holes in the diamond.

All of their diamonds come with a 360 degree video showing the diamond from all angles. Possibly the best feature they have is this Price Score graph showing how good of a deal you're getting with the diamond and whether or not you're overpaying for it.

The gemologists on hand were incredibly helpful and knowledgable all along the way. Whenever I had a question, the chat box was waiting on me and I received an answer quickly. I originally purchased a loose diamond from them without chatting with one of their representatives and they found one that bigger, brighter, cleaner for roughly the same price.

My recommendation is to do some research on your own to see what you like (actually what your significant other likes) and then when you find a range from stone types, sizes, and price range to chat with them and get your advice. They sent a handful of stones and gave me their honest opinion about each of them. Everyone they sent was better than the one I initially picked out and they educated me on why.

Once the stone was selected, they helped with choosing the setting and metal content. Most ring settings come in white gold, gold, rose gold, and platinum.

From diamond and setting selection to assembly and shipping was less than two weeks. The packaging and ring box was top notch.

Overall, it was a 10/10 experience

Using RareCarat.com to purchase an engagement ring offers several distinct advantages over traditional brick-and-mortar jewelry stores:

  • Price Transparency: RareCarat.com allows you to compare prices across a wide range of diamonds and settings from different vendors, ensuring you get the best value for your budget. Traditional stores may have higher markups and limited price comparisons.
  • Wider Selection: Online platforms like RareCarat.com offer a vast inventory of diamonds and ring settings that can be filtered by various criteria (carat, cut, color, clarity, and price), giving you more options to find the perfect ring. Traditional stores often have limited stock on hand.
  • Convenience: Shopping online is convenient and can be done from the comfort of your home, without the need to visit multiple stores. You can take your time to research and make decisions without pressure from salespeople.
  • Expert Guidance: RareCarat.com provides extensive educational resources and tools to help you understand the 4Cs (carat, cut, color, clarity) and other important factors in diamond purchasing. Some platforms even offer virtual consultations with gemologists, giving you expert advice similar to what you might get in-store.
  • Customer Reviews and Ratings: Online platforms often feature customer reviews and ratings for both the diamonds and the sellers. This can provide additional assurance about the quality and service, something that is harder to gauge in a traditional store.
  • Competitive Pricing: Due to lower overhead costs, online retailers can offer more competitive pricing compared to traditional stores. You can often find better deals and discounts online.
  • Certification and Assurance: RareCarat.com lists diamonds that are certified by reputable grading laboratories such as GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or AGS (American Gem Society). This ensures that you are getting a high-quality, authenticated diamond.
  • Return Policies: Many online retailers have generous return policies, allowing you to return or exchange the ring if it doesn't meet your expectations. This can provide peace of mind when making such a significant purchase.

By leveraging these advantages, RareCarat.com can offer a more convenient, informed, and cost-effective approach to buying an engagement ring compared to traditional jewelry stores.
